Our 7th-12th Program

Program Details

Monday-Thursday, 9:00am-2:00pm.

There are five components to our 7th-12th program that make an incredible education different from any other:

  1. Project-Based Learning

  2. Bible Instruction

  3. Instruction in Core Classes (English, Math, Science, and History)

  4. Life Skills

  5. Enrichment Fridays

A school-issued laptop computer is provided.

Because our students are homeschool students, they can participate in extracurricular activities, including sports, in their home public school.

Project-Based Learning

One of the biggest complaints we hear from educators and parents alike is that students are not taught how to apply their education to real-world experiences. Another alarming problem we see in students is a trend toward disconnectedness. We have created a way to address these problems through an educational experience that makes an impact on our community and world.

Our Core Classes (and CCP)

Each school year, our students will take courses in English, Math, Science, and History. They will also have the opportunity to learn Spanish to satisfy a foreign language requirement. As needed, we do reserve the right to have a qualified teacher instruct the students via Zoom for more specialized courses. Our students also have the opportunity to take courses at The Compass Academy as a part of the State of Ohio College Credit Plus (CCP) program to both satisfy high school requirements and earn college credits.

Enrichment Fridays & Compass Adventures

Throughout the academic year, The Compass Academy will offer servant-oriented activities for students and families to participate in on select Fridays. These events will be coordinated by The Compass Academy. These opportunities are optional, and any associated costs are not included in tuition. Transportation is not provided. A parent is required to attend, and siblings are welcome.

In addition to Enrichment Fridays, we are introducing a new initiative called Compass Adventures, led by parents. This program will enable parents to organize educational and community service events, fostering additional engagement opportunities beyond school-arranged activities.

BaseCamp Retreat

Each year, our 7th–12th-grade students have the opportunity to attend an overnight retreat. This retreat is an unbelievable opportunity for staff to pour into our students and share Jesus. Students will also do fun activities such as archery, horseback riding, teambuilding sessions, and barn dancing. And of course, what’s a retreat without s’mores around the campfire?

Graduation Requirements

We look forward to our first graduation ceremony! We follow the State of Ohio graduation recommendations. We also require two credits of foreign language for our students who are on a college path.

Tuition

Annual tuition is $4,750. Visit our Tuition Page to learn more about pricing and payment options.
